Pull up a chair and share some creative space!

The open art studio is a community art center that welcomes everyone as an artist, regardless of age or ability. It is part of a worldwide “art hive” initiative that aims to bring an arts space to every community. The open art studio is all about respect and inclusion, where you can explore your creativity in a relaxing, stress-free environment. Drop in and use the wide variety of materials that are here or you can bring your own –

the choice is yours!

Does it cost anything?

The Community Art Studio is free for the community, thanks to our local sponsors and generous donations from people like you!

Am I too old / too young to participate?

From one to one hundred and one, we encourage artists of all ages to come out and make some art with us!

Do you need donations?

Yes –traditional art supplies as well as any scrap material (old magazines, wool / knitting supplies, felt, cardboard, buttons, beads, glitter, fabric, etc.) that can be used in a project are welcome.

But I can’t draw!

The open art studio is about so much more than simply making art.  It’s a place to talk, share, and re-connect with the community. It’s also about building self-respect and empowerment – not so much about technical know-how. So you can do what you already know and love, discover your creative potential by trying something new or just relax and chat to the other community artists!
